Boutiques in Ipoh

Since leaving Ipoh i had the sudden realization that there was a huge number of reasonably priced boutiques there which i sorely miss in Slim River. Though i have found an equivalent in Cats Whiskers in Subang dun even dream about it here in Slim River.

So here's a top 5 list of my fave boutiques in Ipoh just in case anyone goes there to stay and is wondering where to shop besides Jusco.(I tried searching for their website to show some sample clothes but i guess they're all not tech savvy or just too lazy or dun think anyone will go google their shop)

1) Index Concept shop
Persiaran Greentown 10,
Greentown Business Centre 30450 Ipoh

Best of all. All the clothes are colour coordinated so u can totally skip which colour you dun like and best of all the clothes are all very reasonably priced. On top of that they give about 10-20% discount of all clothes except best buy items.I mean the original price was already really reasonable..so plus the discount it was a sweet deal.

For example i bought a similar hoodie.. which is sort of like this but short sleeved~

And guess how much~~ 35++ only

2) Xcada shoes
6, Persiaran Greentown 10,
Greentown Business Centre 30450 Ipoh

Though i'd like to rename it Xcada bags~always go there for a bag fix.Dunno how many bags i've bought from there. Not always cheap but always affordable la. Some are so not worth it la so you have to sieve the good buys from the bad.

This bag (sans the flower) i got it for about 50 bucks

3)Love Fashion Studio
66, Jalan Raja Ekram (Cowan Street)
30450 Ipoh Perak

Surprisingly this posh looking boutique is rather pocket friendly. They dun have that many designs but they do have some nice stuff. They also do minor alterations albeit at a price.I bought two dinner dresses here.

This one is so cheap i forgot how much liao~ under 70 bucks definitely.

This dress i loved but had the front straps removed cos it was a bit too much~ around 70 bucks also..damn cheap KL where to find?? Plus alterations some more..

4) Vini Sis boutique
22, Persiaran Greenhill, 30450 Ipoh
Index Concept shop

Okie this one is not really cheap but they do free alterations for you and for me alterations are essential cos i have such a small frame~

Skirt costing 55+ without alterations it would totally hang over my hips.

They had loads of dresses and i got some from there too but totally regret this one cos the seams were loose~but they offered to repair la~and the dress was too sheer till see through ler. Worse thing was i didn't even notice till after the event~

So yup these are my regular haunts in Ipoh~ Go shop there for yourself!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! And this year i am celebrating In Slim River nursing a cold. After the initial hardships of moving in, (we freaking live on the 4th floor with no elevator access) we've finally settled in to this comfortable apartment we now call home. Its a stone's throw away from the hospital,it's cheap~less than 200 bucks a month rental, its fully furnished, very cooling, and me and JH both have a double bed each! What's not to like?

Here are some pics(though not very well taken) of the new crib.

Different room same activity

My humongous room~

Big bed for little me

Love the built in wardrobe

And a dressing table! Finally all my beauty products have a place to perch.

Corridor leading to the rooms

The first thing you see when u open the door is the dining area!Yeah finally have a tv to watch~

Cheap retro curtains and sofa set.

Matching blue

Underused kitchen

Dining table(not used yet)

View from the balcony(can see the highway from here)

My growing plants! Got it during a childrens home charity bazaar in Ipoh. I actually just bought one but the kind uncle gave me another one for free.

Thats my car~all nice and chrismassy

As i seem to have more free time than usual here i've actually started bling-ing things up.I so enjoy the process and the results are not half bad.My only lament is the crystals are damn expensive.

Its definitely different from my previous Christmases as a student. I've been celebrating in Spore with friends since upper 6.. haha counting down on the streets. But since working Christmas has since become a time for quiet relaxation which i wouldn't say is bad, but most of all Christmas is for keeping in touch with family and friends.

I'm getting old~

May's wedding and Spore trip

Muahahaha finally finished housemanship and about to embark on a new chapter as a gasp~ MO in Slim River. But before all that time to get home to bask in JB ness~Haven't been home in ages and truly home is still the most comfortable place on earth, the food the best tasting, and the TV incomparable.Cos these are all pieces of my childhood and adolescent life!

Ha ha but after basking in wonderful JB ness time to go cross the causeway for an 'overseas' trip.
Orchard road holds many memories of Christmases for me~ But this time its just for a day trip to shop~

And Daniel has kindly sponsored a $100 sing dollar Takashimaya gift voucher!

Me being gleeful~
But alas after walking in and out of TAkashimaya for 2 days ( i went there 2 days in a row believe it or not, once with Ben and once with JH) and i could buy nothing!Nothing at all. So stupid rite? Instead i spent $$ on crystals from Arab Street ala Xiaxue to bling my gadgets. Will you believe it Ben was so nice to teman me there and ended up buying in the exact same shop Xiaxue went to in her 'Guide to life' videos. I even saw the same shop keepers!! MAn i'm such a fan of hers.

If you dunno what i mean pls watch this.

LV store in Orchard~ dare not walk inside~ its too posh for me but amazingly their Gucci and Coach stores are like pasar malam and everybody just walks right into the open store and start manhandling their bags~ Ka ka ka finally got to check out the prices~

So me and Ben were minding our own business when we saw hordes of people in Wisma Atria. Woo pee Spore celebrities!Well i was only partially correct. Who was there but MTV VJ Denise Keller and Mr Heavenly King himself Aaron Kwok!! For a new Longines watch shop.

This was the clearest picture i could get~ hehe paparazzo~

Trust me its him

The lady hanging from the ceiling doing stunts were part of the opening ceremony.
And of course Mei May's wedding at Pulai Springs Resort! One of the nicest weddings I've ever been to. We did have a little hitch in getting there and in the end Yung Yung drove Daniel's car there haha and we got a little lost along the way~but hey it was fun though. The exchanging of vows started at 5.30pm and even then i saw so many many faces i have not seen for~~4-5 years?? It was great to see everyone again and have the same old silly banter we had way back when we we re in form5/form6. And one of my friend is a vet in the Spore zoo~ how cool is that?

The backdrop was amazing~

Chandeliars in tents?

Yung Yung and Suet Yin~long lasting friends~

Christian wedding so there's a songbook for us to sing along

The kids were very distractingly running around near the golf course

The setting was beautiful and the light shower added to the natural beauty of it

Okie these pictures are all clickable so whoever went to the wedding can get the full quality pics.

Everyone looks great!

Candid shots~

Great to see Yeng Wen, Sook May, Hong Sing and Woon Chia again~

As you can see..

...loads of pics

May was practically glowing that night~

6 Cendekia vs Keng Wee from 6 Akas

camwhore the whole night

More drapes and fun slide shows~ and i was seated right behind Wei Hor and his wife~

Camwhore in the ladies~ too bad not enuff lighting

Best buds forever

The only photo of JH cos he was the cameraman tht night~haha thanks so much

Yeng Wen so pretty ler~

I love the last two pics cos they're so nice and clear~so peeps as u can see many of my pics are super dark due to not using much flash so pls send me the pics from your camera too!

Ha ha so hols are over and I'm like busy packing packing packing and recycling in Ipoh!~So we brought all the newspapers and my precious mags and mangas to the recycling bin in Jusco.Cos the bins were pretty full we left it outside the bin. Then we went to buy some food in Jusco and when we came out everything was gone!I hope all my mags and manga went to a good new owner~This so reminds me of how we use to write karangans 'saya sebuah buku'~ ah nostalgia
